Internal rendering.

Scratch-coat, float and set. Solid walls brought back to true ready for skim or tile. The proper full-thickness system, not a quick patch.

What's included.

Solid-Wall Plastering

Stone, brick and block walls rendered up flat with sand-and-cement or lime mixes, then skimmed.

Three-Coat System

Scratch coat, float coat and set coat. The traditional full-thickness build for walls out of true.

Lime Plaster

Lime-based renders for traditional Scottish stone walls that need to breathe. Sympathetic to old buildings.

Pre-Tile Render

Strong render for kitchens and bathrooms going under tile, properly keyed for adhesive grip.

Need internal rendering quoted?

Common questions.

When do you render and when do you skim?
Bumpy or hollow walls get rendered to bring them back to true, then skimmed. Already-flat walls just need a skim.
Why use lime plaster?
Traditional stone walls need to breathe. Lime plaster allows moisture out, cement plaster traps it and causes damp.
How long does internal rendering take?
A typical wall is rendered in a day, then needs drying time before the skim coat. Plan a week for a full room.
Will it fix damp walls?
On its own, no. Damp needs the cause sorted first, then a salt-retardant render system. See our damp proofing page.
