Plaster skimming. Done properly.

Tired, patchy or cracked walls and ceilings brought flawlessly flat. Two-coat trowelled finish, mist-coat ready, the bread and butter of everything John and Jack do.

What's included.

Walls & Ceilings

Re-skimming over old paint, blown patches, wallpaper damage or rough plaster. Left dead flat and primer-ready.

Two-Coat Finish

Float and trowel coat for a polished finish ready for mist coat and decoration. Properly worked, not rushed.

Single Rooms or Whole Houses

A single bedroom or a full renovation top to bottom. Same finish, scaled to the job.

Aftercare

We come back free if anything cracks or moves in the first weeks after we leave. That rarely happens.

Need plaster skimming quoted?

Common questions.

How long does a room take to skim?
A typical bedroom is one day to skim. A whole-house re-skim depends on size but we will give you a clear schedule before we start.
Do I need to clear the room?
Furniture covered or moved to the centre is fine. We sheet up everything else and tidy as we go.
How long until I can paint?
Plaster needs to dry fully before painting. Usually 4 to 7 days depending on weather and ventilation in Scottish winters.
Can you skim over Artex?
Sometimes yes, often we encapsulate first or board over. We will tell you which is right when we see the ceiling.
